Trip Report: Swiss Air Business Class Lounge at New York JFK Review
|This post is part of the series Vietnam Trip Report 2016
Our trip to Vietnam started with two segments on Asiana Airlines in Business class. Asiana Airlines operates out of terminal 4 at JFK and uses Swiss Air Business Class Lounge. The check in process was fairly quick and we zoomed through security thanks to the fast track line available for first and business class passengers.
The lounge is located on the 2nd floor after security and can be accessed by first and business class passengers flying on other Star Alliance airlines. Lounge access is also available for elite members of other Star Alliance airlines.
The Swiss Air Business Lounge is kind of small and has a narrow and long layout. Once you walk in from the lounge entrance there’s a dining area with restaurant style seating and high chairs facing the window with a self serve buffet in the middle.
Behind the buffet there’s a couple of rows of lounge type seating.
There’s a larger dining area at the back of the lounge with a “relaxing” room in between. It has six nice lounge chairs facing the window. Surprisingly, no one was sitting in this room.
We were at the lounge during breakfast time for our 1pm flight. The food selection wasn’t great, which didn’t matter much because I knew how much food I was getting on the flight 🙂
Swiss Air Business Class Lounge New York JFK Bottom Line:
The lounge was ok for the short duration we spent there. The food wasn’t good, there was wifi available, it was very crowded– probably due to our departure time. Stopping by at the lounge was ok to grab a drink and a bottle of water. I wouldn’t arrive early to spend time there.
