Earn 10% Cash Back on Amazon With Chase Freedom

The Chase Freedom card is easily my favorite $0 annual fee credit card out there. You can choose whether you want to redeem your points for cash deposited in your bank account, or transfer the points to Airline and Hotel partners when partnered with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Every quarter Chase lets you earn 5x points on certain categories. This quarter, you’ll earn 5x points on Amazon.com, Zappos.com and a couple of other retailers. However, Chase just announced that this quarter will be a little bit sweeter by doubling this bonus to 10x on purchases through Amazon.com, Zappos.com and others starting on November 23rd. Purchases made between October 1st and November 22nd will remain at the 5x bonus. If you didn’t activate your bonus category yet, you can do so here.  If you already activated your card, you don’t need to reactivate or do anything at this time. You’ll start earning 10x points on November 23rd automatically.

Here are the terms and conditions from Chase:

During the promotional period of November 23 until December 31, 2015, earn an extra 5% cash back (for a total of 10%) on up to $1,500 in new combined purchases at Amazon.com, Zappos.com, Audible.com and Diapers.com. To earn this extra 5%, your current quarterly bonus maximum dollar amount for earning will reset on November 23, 2015 so you can earn a total of 10% on up to $1,500 on new combined purchases in the listed bonus categories. If you’ve already activated for this quarter, no additional activation is required. Otherwise, activate by December 14, 2015. As long as you’ve activated by December 14, 2015, qualifying bonus category purchases on up to $1,500 from October 1 – November 22, 2015 will earn 5%, and qualifying bonus category purchases on up to $1,500 from November 23 until December 31, 2015 will earn 10%. The extra 5% will appear in the Rewards Summary section of your billing statement as “4Q Extra 5%” and may take up to 1-2 billing cycles to be awarded and reflected on your statement.

Bottom Line:

This is an amazing deal between one of the best $0 annual fee credit cards and one the biggest retail websites in the world. If you don’t have the card, you should apply now and get a bonus 15,000 ultimate rewards points ($150 cash back).
