7 Reasons I Got the American Express Hilton Aspire Card

The American Express Hilton Aspire Card was introduced fairly recently and it quickly became one of the best hotel credit cards out there. Even tho it comes with a high annual fee of $450; the benefits and perks it comes with are outstanding. You can easily offset the annual fee year after year. In this post I’ll show you the 7 reasons I got the American Express Hilton Aspire Card.

1-100,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points

When you apply for the Hilton Aspire Card you can earn 100,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership. The sign-up bonus alone can get you anywhere between 2 to 10 free nights; depending on the category of hotel you book.

2- Hilton Honors Diamond status

It’s pretty incredible that a hotel chain gives top tier elite status just by having a credit card. Normally, you’d need to stay 30 stays in a calendar year, or 60 nights in a calendar year, or earn 120,000 Hilton Honors Base Points in a calendar year to earn Diamond status. Being a Diamond member has a ton of benefits like; 100% bonus on all the Hilton Honors Base Points you earn, guaranteed a room when you make a reservation at least 48 hours prior to your arrival, complimentary in-room and lobby Premium Internet access, late check-out, two complimentary bottles of water per stay, complimentary continental breakfast for you and up to one guest and Executive Floor Lounge Access.

3- Annual Weekend Reward Night

When you apply for the Hilton Aspire Card you’ll enjoy one weekend night reward with your new Hilton Aspire Card and every year after renewal. Plus, earn an additional night after you spend $60,000 on purchases on your Card in a calendar year.

4- $250 Hilton Resort Statement Credit

During each year of your Card Membership, you are eligible to receive up to $250 total in statement credits on your Card Account for eligible purchases made directly with participating Hilton Resorts with your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card during that reward year. Your first reward year begins on your account opening date. Each subsequent reward year begins on the anniversary of your account opening date.
Eligible Hilton Resort purchases must be made directly with the participating Hilton Resort and charged to your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card account for the benefit to apply. Incidental charges (including charges made at restaurants, spas, and other establishments within the hotel property) must be charged to your room and paid for with your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card at checkout in order for them to be recognized as Hilton Resort purchases.

5- $250 Airline Fee Credit

The Hilton Aspire comes with an annual $250 airline fee credit that can apply towards certain airline fees such as checked bag fees, change fees, upgrade fees and so on. It is believed that certain gift cards purchases on American Airlines and Delta trigger this credit. To receive statement credits of up to $250 per calendar year toward incidental air travel fees, you must select one qualifying airline at www.americanexpress.com/airlinecreditchoice.

6- $100 Property Credit

When you use your Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card to book through HiltonHonors.com/aspirecard or by calling Hilton Honors at (855) 292-5757, for a two-night minimum stay at Waldorf Astoria® Hotels & Resorts, and Conrad® Hotels & Resorts, you will be eligible to receive a property credit of up to $100 per booking.

7- Earning a TON of Hilton Points

Earn 14X Hilton Honors Bonus Points when you make eligible purchases on your Card at participating hotels or resorts within the Hilton Portfolio.
Earn 7X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on eligible purchases on your Card for:
• Flights booked directly with airlines or amextravel.com
• Car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies
• U.S. restaurants.
Earn 3X Hilton Honors Bonus Points on all other eligible purchases.

American Express Hilton Aspire Card Bottom Line

I always love when Credit Card companies release new credit cards. The relatively new Hilton Aspire Card from American Express is an awesome addition to my wallet and I can’t wait to take full advantage of all the perks. Especially, the benefits that come with being a Diamond member like free breakfast and Executive Lounge access. Also, even tho the card comes with a high annual fee, I believe I can get the most out of it and offset that fee year after year with things like the annual free night, $250 Airline credit and $250 Hilton Resort statement credit.
