Trip Report: Swiss Air A320 Business Class Review – Zurich ZRH to Paris CDG

We had a 6 hour layover in Zurich after our flight from New York. We were able to go outside and check out the city for some time before our flight to Paris. Swiss Air A320 business class cabin consists of 36 seats that are 17 inches wide and have a 32 inch pitch. Intra-Europe business class is kind of a joke. Just to compare, the economy seats on this aircraft are 17 inches wide and have a 31 inch pitch. We were two couples travelling together and there was only one other person with us in the business class cabin.

Boarding was very quick as there were only 46 passengers in total on this flight. The business class cabin is exactly the same as the economy cabin with three seats on each side. The middle seats in the business class cabin are not bookable; in other airlines these seats are usually blocked with a tray table between the two armrests. I was surprised to see that the middle seats are actually usable.

Once we sat down we were offered small bottles of water as our pre departure drink.

I moved around the cabin and chose to sit in the empty third row. At that time, the flight attendant came and asked if I wanted a snack; and I certainly said yes.

The snack was tiny and flavorful. It consisted of a quiche, zesty couscous with small pieces of chicken and tiramisu.

After the snack I asked for a cup of tea which was served with a Swiss chocolate bar that was delicious.

Swiss Air A320 Business Class Bottom Line:

I’m glad this business class flight was included in the total miles and cash cost I paid to get to Paris from New York. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn’t pay extra money or miles for any intra-europe business class flight. This flight was only 50 mins of actual flight time and economy would’ve been just fine as it’s actually exactly the same except for the food offering.
