4 Favorite Barclays Credit Cards with Valuable Rewards
Whenever you think Credit Cards, you probably think CitiBank, American Express or Chase. They are the most popular credit card issuers with the most travel rewards credit cards portfolio. However, in this post I want to tell you all about my 4 favorite Barclays Credit Cards with valuable rewards.
1- Barclaycard Arrival® Plus World Elite Mastercard®
This is great card to cover travel expenses that you wouldn’t be able to cover with other points and miles currencies. Even tho. Barclays call this currency “miles” it’s really cash back towards travel expenses.
- You’ll earn 60,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 90 days and paying the annual fee – that’s enough to redeem for a $600 travel statement credit toward a qualifying travel purchase
- Get 5% miles back when you redeem your miles to use toward your next redemption every time you redeem. This means the bonus is really equivalent to $630
- Earn unlimited 2X miles on every purchase. When you factor in the 5% rebate when you redeem, this means you’ll be earning 2.1% back towards travel.
- Miles don’t expire as long as your account is open, active and in good standing.
- No foreign transaction fees.
- 0% introductory APR for 12 months on balance transfers made within 45 days of account opening – after that, a variable APR will apply.
- Annual fee: $89
2- AAdvantage® Aviator® Red World Elite Mastercard®
Even tho American Airlines AAdvantage miles have devalued recently, they’re still one of my favorite miles currencies due to the ease of booking awards with their partners. If you’re booking far in advance or last minute, you can easily redeem AAdvantage miles on great airlines like Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways and Etihad.
- Limited Time Offer: Earn 50,000 bonus miles after making your first purchase in the first 90 days and paying the annual
- 10% of your redeemed miles back. 10,000 miles maximum per calendar year.
- Earn 2X AAdvantage® miles on eligible American Airlines purchases.

3- Uber Visa Card
This is a relatively new Barclays credit card that is targeted for millennials. It offers one of the highest cash back rate on dining and some interesting credits on subscription services. It also offers great mobile phone protection.
- Earn $100 after spending $500 on purchases in the first 90 days.
- 4% back on restaurants, takeout, and bars, including UberEATS.

4- JetBlue Plus Credit Card
If you fly on JetBlue often then this card is a no-brainer for you. You can easily and quickly earn a ton of TruBlue points with this card that will get you free flights. Redeeming TrueBlue points is pretty straightforward. Each point gets you about 1.5 cents towards the cost of a ticket. The rate could be a bit higher when redeeming for Mint seats. This is great since you don’t have to worry about finding award availability when booking with TruBlue poitns.
- Earn 40,000 Bonus Points after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days.
- Earn 6X points on JetBlue purchases.
- Earn 2X points at restaurants and grocery stores.
- 1X points on everything else.
- Free first checked bag.
- Points don’t expire.
- Earn 5,000 points annually after your account anniversary. At a rate pf 1.5 cents per points, the annual bonus is equal to $75 which covers most of the $99 annual fee.
- Get 10% of your points back every time you redeem to use toward your next redemption.
- $100 statement credit after you purchase a Vacations package with your card.
- 50% savings on eligible inflight purchases including cocktails and food.
- No foreign transaction fees.
