Can you get the new World of Hyatt Card:
Per the terms: “The product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of any Hyatt Credit Card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Hyatt Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.” Existing Hyatt Credit Cardmembers can upgrade to the new World of Hyatt Credit Card at any time and for a limited time can earn 2,000 Bonus Points if they are approved for the new product.
Bottom Line:
I always get excited when banks introduce new credit cards or refresh old ones. The new Hyatt card is great and if you get it it’s worth holding on to long term for the annual free night and it’s also good for spend at Hyatt hotels since now it earns 4 points per dollar on Hyatt hotel spend. Previously it would make sense to put hotel spend on Chase Sapphire Reserve since it earns more flexible 3 points per dollar which you can also transfer to Hyatt. Love new credit cards. I’ll probably cancel my current Hyatt card next month (after I receive my anniversary free night certificate) then reapply shortly after since I’ve had the card and earned the bonus more than 24 months ago. I wouldn’t upgrade to earn 2,000 points; that’s a pathetic offer.
