For my second night in Hong Kong, I moved to the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui. I had a great breakfast at the Intercontinental Hong Kong, did a little bit of sight seeing then took my bag and walked to the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui.
At the time of booking the paid rate per night was ~$200. Not bad for this nice hotel with a good location. Since I have the Hyatt Credit Card from Chase, I earn one free night every year on my account anniversary. This card has an annual fee of $75 which is still pretty reasonable for the value it provides. The free night from the Hyatt Card is capped at a category 4 Hyatt hotel; which the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui is. This means this night cost me only $75.
The Hyatt Regency is located inside The Masterpiece building. The first 24 floors of the building are the Hyatt Regency, while the floors above are residential. The lobby is located on the third floor.
There’s a World of Hyatt members check in counter which I headed to and was checked in right away. The Hyatt Regency is pretty plain, simple and clean which I kinda like.

The room is very nicely sized, with a comfortable king size bed. There’s also a nice red accent chair with ottoman and TV across by the window.
Across from the bed there’s a desk.
The room also comes with a “Handy” cell phone similar to the one I had at the Intercontinental.
Once you enter the room, the bathroom is on the right. It has a nice rain shower and a bathtub.
The room has a decent view of the island that would’ve been much better without those two buildings in the middle 🙂
The hotel pool is located on the 8th floor which I saw from my room but I didn’t have time to check it out
Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui Bottom Line:
My time at the Hyatt Regency was very limited but I really enjoyed it. The room is very comfortable and fresh. The service was great. And the hotel is in a great location close to everything in Kowloon and right next to subway stations to take you everywhere else in Hong Kong.
