Bottom Line:

These cards offer a great sing-up bonus offer. I know that Delta Skymiles are often percieved as not very valuable. However, there are certain sweet spots to maximize Delta Skymiles. A quick example would be flying from the US to certain parts in Asia. You can get a roundtrip in economy class for 70,000 Skymiles, which you can earn from one credit card sign-up bonus. Or you can fly for 16 hours in a flat bed for 80,000 Skymiles, a trip that would cost upwards of $3,000.

One thing to know about the statement credit offer, is that it can be used on Delta gift cards. That way you can guarantee you use the statement credit even if you’re not planning a flight on Delta within the next 4 months.

Also, the business version of these cards is a great option if you’re trying to stay under 5/24 in order to apply for certain Chase cards. Many small business credit cards don’t count towards the 5/24 rule since they don’t show up on your personal credit report.
