Best Ways to Use 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points
|If you are one of the lucky people who got the Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card with 100,000 bonus points; you’ll soon be sitting on a nice haul of one of the best points currencies out there. Now I’d like to propose some of the best ways to use 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points.
Fly in Suites Class on Singapore Airlines:
You can fly Singapore Suites class on the New York Frankfurt route for only 57,375 miles; after the 15% discount when booking online. However, availability is very very rare on that route. Singapore Airlines flights with suites class outside of the U.S. have much better availability. Here’s a list of a few routes that offer suites class and their respective price:
- Singapore – Beijing: Suites Class 42,500 Krisflyer miles
- Singapore – Shanghai: Suites Class 42,500 Krisflyer miles
- Singapore – Hong Kong: Suites Class 31,875 Krisflyer miles
- Singapore – Sydney: Suites Class 63,750 Krislfyer miles

Fly in Business Class on Singapore Airlines:
Transfer 98,000 points to Singapore Krisflyer and fly roundtrip in business class on Singapore Airlines from New York to Frankfurt. You can also book 2 one-way business class tickets to fly with a companion. The exact price of a one way business class award between New York and Frankfurt is 48,875 miles. When booking online you’ll see it priced at 57,500, however, Singapore Airlines always gives 15% discount on awards booked online. A better route that has more availabilty out of the U.S. is San Francisco to Singapore which costs 68,000 Krisflyer miles for a one way business class flight.

Fly First Class on Korean Air
Korean Air has some of the best first class award availability among all airlines. They’re also available at a reasonable price. You can get a one-way first class seat on Korean Air from New York to Seoul for 80,000 miles.

Four Roundtrip Tickets to Hawaii on Delta through Korean Air
The cheapest option to fly to Hawaii on miles was always on Delta with Korean Air miles. Korean charges only 25,000 miles roundtrip for economy and 45,000 miles in first class. It was usually a hassle to book this award because you had to call to book it. Recently, Korean Air added Skyteam awards through their online award booking website which made things much easier.
Domestic Flights on United Airlines:
You can transfer 100,000 points to United Airlines and redeem for 4 roundtrip domestic flights in saver economy or 2 roundtrip domestic flights in saver business/first class. United has a zone based award chart. So a flight from New York to Los Angeles will cost the same amount of miles for a flight from New York to Chicago. You’ll definitely want to maximize your points and use them on the longer more expensive flights. Keep in mind United adds 10,000 miles for first class when both business and first are offered. Also for flights 700 miles or less, a one way economy saver award will cost 10,000 miles instead of 12,500.

Free Nights at Hyatt Hotels:
You can transfer 100,000 points to Hyatt Gold Passport and get 5 nights free at a category 5 hotel like the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa which I reviewed not too long ago. A paid night at the Hyatt Regency Maui can go from $300 to over $600 depending on the season. This means you can save $1,500 to $3,000 on a 5 night stay. You can get a much higher redemption value at a higher category hotel like the Park Hyatt Maldives. You can get 4 nights free since it’s a category 6 hotel. A paid night at the Park Hyatt Maldives averages $1,000 per night, that’s a savings of ~$4,000!
Redeem through the Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal:
The easiest way to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards Points; is through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal. You can get $1,500 worth of travel expenses without having to worry about transferring to partners or searching for award availability. However, this maxes your redemption value at 1.5 cents/point. This may not be the best redemption value but if you value ease of use and convenience, then maybe this is best for you.
Bottom Line:
Transferable points are the best type of points out there and Chase Ultimate Rewards are one of if not the best transferable points currency. If you recently applied for and got the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card with 100,000 bonus points; you have a ton of options on how to use these points. I hope the above list gave you some ideas on how you’d want to use your points.
How do you plan on using your 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points?

I’m wanting to fly to Hawaii with my family. In reading this post, I joined the Korean Airlines Skyteam to get the great deal you mentioned, but in viewing partner airlines, Delta is NOT listed. (Alaska and Hawaii are). So I’m now confused how I’d go about transferring my Chase points to Korean and book my flights from the USA to Hawaii.
Hi Bruce, thanks for your question. The best way is to search for saver award availability on Delta.com then search with the same dates on Korean Air. You should be looking for flights on Delta that cost 45,000 Skymiles.
I have 135,000 UR points, what’a the best way I can get my wife and I to Italy round trip ? I’m new to this redeeming points thing.
