I’m not strict with booking hotels belonging to a certain loyalty program to earn points, I focus more on location and budget. I used the Citi Prestige to book The Langham Hong Kong Hotel to take advantage of the complimentary 4th night benefit and earn 3X points on hotel spend. The Langham Hong Kong Hotel was very reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel in Hong Kong with an amazing location – across the street from a subway station and a 10 minute walk to the famous Avenue of the Stars and the Star Ferry Pier.
The rate for The Langham Hong Kong Hotel was HKD 2,550.00 which is about $328 USD before taxes. All in all the rate per night was ~$362.
After a long trip from New York with a quick stop in Japan on Japan Airlines Business class, I was glad we finally made it to Hong Kong. We arrived at The Langham Hong Kong Hotel around 11 pm and we were so exhausted and ready to be in the room. We were greeted at the door by concierge staff and a bellman to transfer the luggage. The check in process was very quick and pleasant. Andy from the concierge came over when he knew it was me checking in since we’ve been emailing for a while trying to schedule some tours. He was very helpful and made changes to our plans according to our liking and gave us a map explaining public transportation and the subway system – which is super easy to use.

The lobby and reception area looked very chic and elegant

The Langham Hong Kong Hotel is home to the Palm Court – right next to the lobby area – where you can have some amazing afternoon tea and pastry

We headed to the elevators to get to our room – even the hallways and elevator area of the hotel are chic.

The room was kind of small but very comfortable. It had a king size bed facing the TV and some nice wall art above the bed.

The slippers by the bed were a nice touch.

The bathroom was spacious and featured a shower and a bathtub.

The room had a small desk.

It also had plenty of storage and counter space.

The closet had some useful items, especially the umbrella, since it was drizzling most of the time.

There were buttons next to the bed to control all the lights in the room and also to control the housekeeping sign outside the door.

There was another set of buttons next to the door to control whether you need housekeeping or you don’t want to be disturbed.

Under the TV was plenty of drink and snack choices that we didn’t partake in.

After we settled in the room we were feeling a bit hungry so we ordered room service. We ordered french onion soup, a quesadilla and a cheese burger with fries – all were delicious and definitely hit the spot 🙂

The next morning, and every morning, we went to the Food Gallery were the buffet breakfast is served.

Fresh juice was offered daily.

The pastry was so good – I overdosed on carbs!

I went to checkout out the gym for the purpose of this review only :). The gym was nicely equipped and would definitely be sufficient for a vacation/work trip workout. There’s also an outdoor pool but it was being renovated at the time of my stay.

The Langham Hong Kong Hotel Bottom Line:
The hotel is in a great location with easy access to anywhere you want to go to in Hong Kong. The service was exceptional and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The room is very comfortable, clean and functional. I would definitely book this hotel in the bed and breakfast rate as the breakfast was amazing and had delicious local and international options. In conclusion, I would go back to the Langham Hotel the next time I’m in Hong Kong.
