FLIGHT DEAL: NEW YORK TO MILAN FOR $549 From EMIRATES AIRLINES

Periodically, Emirates emails their frequent flyer members with a flight deal to get from New York, JFK to Milan, MXP for $549 per person in economy or $1,900 in business when you book a trip for two. This offer is now back for flights booked by November 16th 2015.

This is a special deal especially because you get to enjoy crossing the Atlantic on board the massive, luxurious and very comfortable Emirates Airbus A380.

 Economy Class:

• Economy Class fare of $1,099 USD is applicable for two (2) passengers, traveling round trip together on the same itinerary in the same booking record (PNR) from New York (JFK) to Milan (MXP) only.
• Available round trip connections via Interline points will incur additional surcharges.
• Fare shall only be applicable to tickets purchased from 00:01 (EDT) on November 13 through 23:59 (EDT) on November 16, 2015.
• Outbound Travel Period: November 20 through November 23, 2015, December 01 through December 03, 2015, January 07, 2015 through March 16, 2016 and April 10 through May 26, 2016 only.
• Travel must be completed on or before May 30, 2016.
• Promotion is applicable utilizing Emirates operated transatlantic flights EK206 and EK205 only (codeshare flights may be applicable from USA Interline points).
• Minimum stay: three (3) days or first Sunday.
• Maximum stay: three (3) months.
• Ticketing time limit is 48 hours from the time of booking.
• No redemption necessary.
• Inbound Blackout Dates: January 01 through January 11, 2016 and March 27 through April 12, 2016 only.
• For outbound/inbound travel on weekends, a surcharge of $100 per direction, per passenger applies (outbound is Thursday through Saturday and inbound is Saturday through Monday).
• Reservation changes permitted before or after departure at a charge of $200 per passenger. Changes must take place for all passengers in the itinerary at the same time.
• Cancelations before or after departure are not refundable.
• No-show is subject to a fee of $400 per passenger.
• No refund on partly-utilized tickets.
• Stopovers are not permitted in either direction.

Bottom Line:

This is probably the best way available to cross the Atlantic. Emirates has plenty of A380s and to our luck they deployed one to fly the ~8hr trip from New York to Milan. You can connect to New York from over 30 other cities in the United States with Emirates partner Jet Blue.
