American Offering up to 35,000 Bonus Miles + 10% Discount on Purchased Miles

American is currently offering up to 35,000 bonus miles + 10% discount on purchased miles.

The offer applies when you purchase 20,000 miles or higher and it is built on a tier based system. The more miles you buy, the higher the bonus you receive.

This is not the best deal we’ve seen from American this year but it certainly isn’t bad if you have an award redemption in mind.

For example, if you’re heading to Asia, you can buy 67,500 AAdvantage miles for about $1,500. Which gets you a one way ticket on Cathay Pacific in First class, a trip that would otherwise cost you well over $5,000 – $8,000 if not more.

Bottom Line:

As I always say when it comes to purchasing miles, Although this seems to be a good deal to top off you AAdvantage account, I can’t encourage buying miles unless you have a use for them within the next few months.
