Welcome Aboard!
|Hello and welcome aboard. I’d like to start off by introducing myself and explaining the purpose of this blog. My name is Ramy Wahby, I’m a 29 year old happily married man who is passionate about traveling the world. I’m certainly not as well traveled or nearly as experienced as many of the other travel, points and miles bloggers but I aspire to be. One of my favorite quotes is “ I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” – Susan Sontag. Everywhere is definitely on my list and I will work hard to achieve that one day. My passion for traveling was instilled in me through my parents. I took my first international trip at the age of 3 months when my parents took me on adventurous trip to Kenya where we went on safari rides and slept in tents in the jungle.
I was privileged enough to have parents who put the time, effort and money in travelling with a child. During my childhood and throughout my teenage years my parents took me all around Europe, Africa and North America. I carried that passion for traveling with me into my adulthood years and I’m so blessed to have married someone who shares that same interest and passion for traveling. So far in our 3 years of marriage we were fortunate to travel to 13 countries together!
Recently, I got interested in learning about airline miles, credit cards and hotel points. Now it’s become an addiction…. or passion, (sounds better :)). In the last year alone I’ve accumulated more than 350,000 miles and points spread over several airlines, hotels and banks without having to step foot on a plane or stay a single night at a hotel.
Over time I’ll be sharing many tips and tricks on how to earn valuable miles and points and also, more importantly, how to spend them on amazing travel experiences. I will also share some of my most memorable travel experiences from the past discussing the destination, getting there and the stay. I’ll do my best to share as much as I can in hope to inspire you to travel to a destination I’ve experienced, take an airline I loved or use a strategy I’ve used to book otherwise unattainable trips using miles and points.
If you have any ideas, tips or your own travel stories you want to share please do either by email at pointspointers@gmail.com or on twitter @pointspointers
Also, if you have a stash of points or miles or both and not sure how to use them, or have a dream vacation in mind and want guidance on which airline/hotel/rewards credit cards to get in order to book that trip or upgrade your flight experience, please don’t hesitate to reach out and I would love to help you to the best of my knowledge.
